


Singapore Shines at 2016 Kin-Ball Asia Cup in Osaka, Japan
On 4 December 2016, Team Singapore proudly made its international debut at the Kin-Ball Asia Cup in Osaka, Japan. Competing against some of Asia’s most experienced teams, Singapore held its own and secured an impressive 4th place finish in both the Men’s and Women’s categories—a remarkable achievement for a team new to the international Kin-Ball scene.
In the Men’s category, the final standings were:

Despite stiff competition, Singapore’s players displayed resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Their performance was met with enthusiastic support from organisers and the audience, earning Singapore the Entertainment Award—a special recognition translated from Japanese to mean a “pleasant surprise” of the tournament. This honour highlighted Singapore’s spirited gameplay and positive presence, even as a first-time participant.
The Asia Cup marked a major milestone for the Kin-Ball Association of Singapore, showcasing how far the team had come and hinting at the great potential ahead. It also reflected the power of sport to unite, uplift, and inspire communities.
